In Memoriam

Doris J. McGee
october 15, 1928 - june 9, 2002

Doris grew up in the Orange, NJ area and was a legal secretary before her marriage. She started out in Keeshounds, bred and finished seven champions, and put on three CDs. Doris was a licensed AKC handler and a member of the Professional Handlers Association.

She then purchased her first Norfolk Terrier from Anne Rogers Clark, bred and finished four champions, and earned one Working Terrier Certificate. Doris was a charter member and past president of the Norwich and Norfolk Club. She also was active in the Union County KC and the Dog Owners Educational League of NJ, serving as Secretary/Treasurer to both.

In later years, she belonged to the Lower Bucks Dog Training Club where she became involved in tracking and teaching obedience.

Doris got into Pembrokes in the late 1980s and co-owned Ch. Terenelf's Fancy Pants and Ch. Tadruh's Magic Moment, "Pixie". She also put a CDX on Pixie. Doris became a member of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Garden State in 1992 and served as club secretary for seven years and specialty show secretary for three shows. Doris could find the answer to any AKC question, and she also enjoyed manning our education table and the registration desk at Funday Sunday.

She will be greatly missed.
